IN MEMORY OF

Edward A. Reavis, age 59, Fort Scott, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at
Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg.

He was born March 10, 1946, in Houston, Texas, the son of Randall
A. Reavis and Velma Vermillion Reavis. He was a graduate of Fort
Scott High School and Fort Scott Community College. He was a U.S.
Army veteran who worked in military intelligence. He also worked for
Key Industries. He was a life-time member of the Veterans of Foreign
Wars Post 2677 in Baltimore, Md. He was an amateur geologist and
had a paper published in a Kansas State University scientific journal.

Survivors include his mother, Velma Reavis, Fort Scott; a brother,
Basil Reavis, Fort Scott; and a sister, Mary Reavis, Wahiawa, Hawaii.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The Rev. Reed Hartford will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m.
Friday at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel, 201 S. Main St., Fort
Scott. Burial with military honors will follow in the U.S. National
Cemetery. Visitation is planned from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the
chapel.
