


Linda Fay Thomas, 43, Chesapeake, Va., died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 1990. She had been ill with cancer. She was born Feb. 22, 1947, at Fort Scott, the daughter of Jack and Doris Simmons Stumfoll. She attended the Fort Scott schools. She married Larry Ray Thomas June 11, 1967, at Fort Scott. Survivors include her husband, of the home; a daughter, Melissa Dawn Thomas, Chesapeake; her mother, Doris Stumfoll, Lawrence; two brothers, Roger Stumfoll and Kent Stumfoll, both of Lawrence; three sisters, Carol Wright and Shirley Hensley, both of Olathe, and Sandra Johnson, Spring Hill, Kan. Her father died in 1984. The Rev. A.F. Collins, the Rev. Claude Craven and the Rev. Wilber Simmons will conduct services at 2 p.m. Monday at the Grace Baptist Tabernacle, Fort Scott. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Linda Fay Thomas Hospital Fund, in care of the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Friends may call at the chapel beginning Saturday morning. |
