Chief Master Sgt. Loren W. “John” Good, US Air Force retired, age 53, Schertz, Texas, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001. He was a graduate of Fort Scott High School and attended Fort Scott Community College. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Sue Good. Schertz, Texas; three daughters, Tanya Santos of Brooklyn, N.Y., Tessa Leining of Waco, Texas, Melinda Steadman of San Antonio, Texas; five sisters, Maxine King of Liverpool, Texas, Juanita Reutter of Idalia, Colo., Marlene Baringham of Carbondale, Delores White of Wichita, and Carol Faye Sapp of Houston, Texas; two brother Garold Good of Carbondale, and Floyd Good of Burlingame; three grandchildren; and a niece, Jane Weimer of Girard, who had lived in the Good home as a daughter. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 6, at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with chaplain Lorraine Potter officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
